St Andrew’s School Badge

Our school badge shows our school’s links to St Andrew.

The church represents St Martin’s church and our link with the church and community.

The fish represents St Andrew, who gave up his job as a fisherman to follow Jesus.  Jesus said his disciples would become ‘fishers of men’.  St Andrew was the first disciple.

The flag is the Saltaire – the flag of Scotland.  St Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland.

The thistle is an emblem of Scotland, another link to St Andrew.  The thistle symbolises devotion, bravery, determination and strength.
